My cat won’t let me pet him. What’s the point of having a cat if he’s not gonna let you pet him? Does anyone else have an unfriendly cat? How do I fix this?

She only wants cuddles when it suits HER.. which is usually at a very inconvenient time. Like i’ll wake up at like 5 in the morning because she jumped up on my bed and started kneading on my arm or something ._.
